Interview Intelligence
Interview Intelligence is a 9 step guide to make sure that you are totally prepared for every eventuality in your interview process. All areas are covered including How to answer difficult questions, Aptitude tests, Interview preparation and Power Verbs.

Job Agent
Job Agent searches our extensive database to find a suitable opportunity for you.
By using this method you will include jobs in your search that may not yet have appeared on one of our advertising partner sites.
When you join My Upstream and submit your profile when a suitable role is found for you, you will be immediately notified through Job Agent by E-mail and/or SMS.
NB: Job Agent launches in late 2006.

CV Surgery
The purpose of your CV is to ensure that the client is sufficiently interested in your experience to invite you for an interview. Without your CV being well presented you won’t make it through the door.
CV Surgery offers advice on how to best structure your CV including a Sample CV and a CV Builder.

Transition

The Intelligence – Salary and Market Trends
Upstream have partnered with the National Computing Centre in order to bring you the most comprehensive IT salary survey available.
You can get the best idea of what your market value is by speaking to an Upstream consultant. You can also get a picture of overall trends in the technology labour market and discover which technologies are most in demand and financially rewarding by following this link: Salary Survey

Candidate Incentives
At Upstream we believe that our quality candidates are the main assets to our business. We also believe that success should be shared and so offer to you a referral bonus of £200 should we place* a candidate that you have referred to us that we successfully place.

Events
Regardless of whether you refer a colleague or friend to us, we extend an invitation to all our candidates and their colleagues to our drinks evenings. These are held twice yearly in Central London and serve as an opportunity to meet fellow BI professionals or discuss any career questions that you may have with the Upstream consultants that are always on hand and happy to help.

Feedback
We know that an essential ingredient to our continual improvement is your feedback. As a result this is encouraged throughout your dealings with us.
After you have been placed through us we contact you during weeks 1, 4 and 8, often onsite, to chart your progress and be on hand to advise you with any questions you may have. Our successful rate of retention of candidates has led to an equally impressive retention of clients.
After your placement we will also send you a service review form asking you for your views and comments on the service you have received from your consultant and your general thoughts on your experience with Upstream.
